Dennis W. Shanahan - Chief Operating Officer - Chief Compliance Officer - Principal

In his role as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Compliance Officer (CCO), Dennis oversees all aspects of Hedgeo’s operations where he directs, administers, and coordinates the activities of the organization following policies, goals, and objectives on behalf of the firm. As Head of Compliance, Dennis develops and monitors the firm’s compliance program, ensuring that all activities meet the requirements of state-federal legal and regulatory agencies while acting as a liaison with regulatory agencies. Dennis previously served in Operations at Caldwell Trust, overseeing the day-to-day operations of over $1.4 billion in assets. Prior to Caldwell Trust, Dennis served as COO and head of Compliance for two private investment advisory firms.  Dennis also served as a Private Banking manager for a start-up boutique bank and was solely responsible for generating over $100 Million in new assets. A native New Yorker, and graduate of the State University of New York at Albany, he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Affairs and has passed the General Securities Representative Examination (Series 7) and Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination (Series 63).
